i have to work today (stupid rl!) so i am hoping this won't be a huge disappointment when i get to it. my main has 16 titles, 2 sets of 15k armor, all upgraded hero armor, a none-too-impressive mini collection other than my bone dragon, and a decent green bow collection.
i was hoping for like, a butler in my friggin hall. (not really. but you get my point.)
i am going to be none too happy if my armor shows up as some random prof/wrong gender/anything other than what i'm wearing!

How many want to see most/every title displayed and not just PVP and NOT just max rank?

i have not been to the HoM yet but it sounds like it needs serious reconsideration A. you should get recognition for ANY title u get at any level...if your title is bigger then congrats for you but i should still be able to carry over my r6 hero to GW2. If u didnt think the titles mattered until they were amazingly high then u wouldnt let us display them until they were amazingly high.. show the same concept in the HoM..mini pet prob im sure this will be fixed it amkes no sense..also HoM should be account wide what if i didnt wanna get my ele though nightfall and never got those titles..seriously though the PvP title system IS MESSED upmake it so any showable title in the same is showable in the HoM the good guys still get their shown and the not so good still get theirs shown . this game is played by the players...might as wll make it what the players want eh?
SOEMONE START A POLL(S) ADDRESSING THESE ISSUES AND MORE then we can see what everyone thinks

I worked my butt off for... this?
The clock was ticking into the early morning on the East Coast. 3:01AM. Finally! I log onto my character and delve into Eye of the North. Pure elation! The music was awesome, the graphics were cool. I felt a feeling close to giddiness as I journeyed closer to the Hall of Monuments. I had seen all of the movies, read all of the reviews. I felt prepared for what I’d see.
The Monument of Devotion would be where I could finally unload these 35 minipets off of a storage character and set them on a shelf, how cute!
And over there, the Monument of Valour! Maybe it would be a checklist of greens found throughout the world, a place where I could amass an arsenal to prove to the future that Absolut Monk was worthy of her name. Maybe it would be a place I could enshrine my precious Long Sword of Enchanting that I’ve 55 smited so many foes with.
Oh yes, and the Monument of Resilience! I could unload my seven sets of 15k armor off of various storage characters and set them on a shelf so that future generations can remember what I looked like.
Gasp! The Monument of Honour. This is what I’ve been waiting for, as my monk truly is absolute. Having 24 maxed titles, I had imagined seeing something truly worthy of showing off to my friends. In fact, my 25th title is just around the corner! Maybe I can run those last 500 chests this week before the game officially launches? It would make that monument/statue thing light up with a thousand shades of bling!
And then I got there, and I feel disgusted knowing how much time I’ve wasted on my character. There was no bling, only burlap. “Please select a PVP title to display on your monument”. I was shocked, SHOCKED I tell you, that even my KoaBD track barely got a footnote along side of chapter completion. I can display my title on my character and get the same effect!
So at close to 5:00 am this morning, I shut down my computer. I will log back on in a week, with a clear head and a better attitude, knowing that ANet will make it right.

i get the impression I'm of a minority here but why should these titles be account based? When you got the title on a character (survivor, cartographer etc) it was character based, not account based, so why should they change it for the Halls. If you want it for each character, stop complaining on here and go get exploring, got 2 or 3 years to do it in after all

Yeah, because Survivor was out since day 1. LDoA? That had nothing to do with people figuring out a glitch in the game to get to level 20 at all! It was intentional and there was even a title for that on day 1! If I wanted to play a game of mindless grinding, I'd go back to RF Online.

Remember that bit in Empire Strikes Back? You know the bit where Han's just been frozen and Vader is leaving and tells them to bring Princess Leia with them. Lando says something along the lines of, "Hey wait! That's not part of our agreement!" and then Vader turns on him and menacingly says "I am altering our agreement. Pray I don't alter it further."
Yeah. That's Hall of Monuments.
It's like they said "Hey! Great thing about GW2!? You can take all your heroes and armor and pets and titles with you from GW!" ...now it seems like they're saying..."Well, for the most part..."
Yes, I know it's just a "sneak peak"...practically a beta-test. I just hope it gets changed to something more in tune with the concept that they got everybody worked up about.
I thought the idea was to please loyal players. Not just "leet" players.

Do they even list the PVE titles? Only titles I see you can chose are PVP and they are all max rank, for all those 3 players that have any.

Character based dooms those who play multiple characters to having a Hall of Mediocrity. There's no reason a family of characters couldn't be represented in the same place, unless you want to actively discriminate against people who don't focus on one character.

Going by what I saw last night, if you go into HoM with more than 1 real person in your party everyone will see the party leader's stuff. Go out, switch party leaders, go back in and everyone will see the new party leader's stuff. So, unless this changes, you WILL be able to show off your hall!

Why does the HoM (note: a location in a PvE-focused expansion) seem to care more about PvP titles?
I love title hunting, yet all I get is a little note that I'm 'KoaBD'? I must admit was expecting something a bit... bigger... for all the work I've done on those titles :S Like, for them each to be recognised individually?
And I'm really proud of my armour collection. ...Could we please display it properly? Please? My rit wouldn't be caught dead with kurzick necro armour in her wardrobe, after all ;;
Eh... I'm holding off on the HoM for now and hoping some things get changed. Was really looking forward to filling it up with all my accomplishments... but it seems I don't have any of the 'right' ones :/
(Edit: And hey, as a PvE player, I'm proud of my bambi! It may not be worth anything to PvPers, or in my GW2 inheritance, but that doesn't mean it's not worth displaying in MY hall =p)

WHat I'm thinking myself.
And I had sort of seen the Hall of monuments being something tied to your account. You basicly took each char and could get a statue in their name with their deeds and such, if you have 5 chars you have 5 statues and such. Maybe even with a limit on how many chars you could have statues for.

Keep complaining, I'm sure they'll take it all in. They have 2 years to listen to us and to update the HoM for us over that period of time, just in time for Guild Wars 2 to arrive perfectly.

I love the chaos that this has resulted in, especially as it relates to customizing minipets.
I was toying with the idea of having one "favorite" minipet per character - this just reinforces that.
